Is it Too Much to Carry?
There are times when grief is insurmountable.
Where the end is nowhere near, and the grips of its severity keep knocking you down.
"Will this let up?"
"Can I have a moment to stand and breathe?"
"I don't know if I can do this."
It keeps coming: in the form of news, collective tragedy, relationship troubles, medical diagnoses, or just everyday work challenges. Whatever it is, it keeps hitting. And it keeps hurting. 🤕
Maybe you find yourself thinking, "I shouldn't be that affected by this," or "I don't have time to feel this."
Whatever the thoughts are, the nervous system is rattled. The heart is exhausted. And the body is tired of pretending it’s fine.
I keep thinking of tarot cards that are dripped with community, specifically the Three of Cups.
At first glance, it gives off a kind of "girls’ night out" vibe. They’re lifting their cups in celebration, but there’s more to it.
When we look at the Cups suit, the emotional suit of half-full or half-emptiness, this card stands out. It’s not just about joy. It’s about fullness, and not in the cup itself, but in what surrounds you.
Time to break out the journal, because the real medicine here is:
💝Who is lifting you up when life is pushing you down?
💝Who is holding you when you need holding?
This is what the Three of Cups reminds us. The fullness doesn’t come from doing it all alone. It comes from the ones who show up, the ones who witness you, and maybe carry the weight when you can’t.
And maybe that’s exactly what this full moon in Capricorn is here to reflect. 🌝
Capricorn is the sign of structure, endurance, and holding it all together. It’s often praised for resilience, but under a full moon, cracks begin to show. The pressure to keep climbing, to keep producing, to stay composed becomes too much.
And that’s not failure. That’s truth.
This full moon illuminates all the places we’ve been carrying too much, quietly. All the places we’ve been taught that strength equals silence. But true strength is found in allowing ourselves to be supported. 💪🏽
True structure is built through connection, not control. Even Capricorn needs something solid to stand on. ⛰️
If the answers to “who is holding you” feel blurry or absent, this moon is a moment to name that. To name the ache. To name the longing. To begin building something sturdier.
Getting uncomfortable with asking for help or simply admitting “I need someone” is where our strength is now.
The old paradigm of being independent is being deconstructed by the fascist regimes that want us to think we must suffocate to live. They thrive off our isolation. They profit from our disconnection. ✌️
And so the rally cry becomes:
Call your people in. Create new structures that hold you. Let the Three of Cups be your altar. Let the full moon be your mirror.
Tonight, under the full moon’s glow, light a candle and meditate on this and your people.
This isn’t about being fixed. This is about being held. 💜
